2 ounces onion, minced

2 ounces carrots, minced

2 ounces celery, minced

2 ounces white button mushrooms, minced

1½ tablespoons unsalted butter or bacon fat

12 ounces day-old bread, cubed

4 fluid ounces chicken stock, hot
+
1 egg, whisked
+
2 tablespoons parsley
+
½ teaspoon sage, chopped
+
6 ounces shelled, peeled, roasted chestnuts, quartered
+
1 teaspoon kosher salt
+
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
+
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
+
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
+
¼ teaspoon ground mustard
+
Gravy, for serving (optional)

Directions
STEP 1
Sauté the onions, carrots, celery, and mushrooms in the butter (or bacon fat) until tender, about 5 minutes.
STEP 2
Combine the bread, chicken stock, egg, and sauteed vegetables in a large bowl.
STEP 3
Add the parsley, sage, chestnuts, salt, pepper, nutmeg, ginger, and mustard and mix until fully combined.
STEP 4
Select the Preheat function on the Cosori Air Fryer, set temperature to 330°F, and press Start/Pause.
STEP 5
Line the preheated air fryer basket with foil, being careful not to touch the hot surfaces.
STEP 6
Transfer the stuffing into the lined air fryer basket.
STEP 7
Select the Bake function, adjust temperature to 330°F and time to 30 minutes, press Shake, then press Start/Pause.
STEP 8
Cover the top of the stuffing with foil halfway through cooking. The Shake Reminder will let you know when.
STEP 9
Let the stuffing cool for 5 minutes inside the air fryer basket, then transfer to a serving dish.
STEP 10
Scoop the stuffing out into a dish or flip the stuffing out onto a cutting board and cut into individual servings.
STEP 11
Serve alongside your Thanksgiving dinner with gravy, if desired.
