The natural sweetness of the carrots is enhanced with a rich honey garlic butter glaze, giving each bite a mouthwatering burst of flavor. With the air fryer’s quick cooking time, the carrots develop a caramelized exterior while staying soft and juicy on the inside.

How to Pick Carrots

Look for firm, bright orange carrots that are smooth and without cracks or rootlets. If they have tops, ensure they are bright green and fresh.

Instructions

PREP THE CARROTS: 

  1. Cut the carrots diagonally into 2-inch-long pieces. If they are thick, cut them in half lengthwise. 
  2. Spray the carrots lightly with olive oil spray, then season with salt and pepper. 

MAKE HONEY GARLIC BUTTER: 

  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally for 1 to 2 minutes or until the butter has a nutty aroma and has turned lightly golden brown. 
  2. Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Remove from heat and stir in the honey. 

COOK THE CARROTS: 

  1. Place the crisper plate into the air fryer basket. 
  2. Select the Preheat function, adjust temperature to 385°F, then tap Start/Pause
  3. Place the carrots onto the preheated crisper plate. 
  4. Select the Air Fry function at 385°F, adjust time to 12 minutes, then tap Start/Pause
  5. Shake the basket halfway through cooking. 
  6. Add the honey garlic butter to the carrots and stir to combine. 
  7. Select the Broil function at 450°F, adjust time to 2 minutes, then tap Start/Pause
  8. Remove the carrots when tender and caramelized.  
  9. Garnish carrots with fresh parsley, then serve immediately. 

Chef Notes: This side dish is best served while warm.
