Sliders So Good, You'll Be "Cheesin'"

These gourmet chicken parmsliders will impress any guest for your next party or dinner! Crispy, golden brown chicken parmesan tenders topped with marinara sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese sandwiched between garlic butter toasted rolls. Lighter and a bit healthier than traditional chicken parmesan, the air fryer keeps the chicken tenders juicy and tender while creating a beautiful golden crust.

Ingredient Swaps

Slider Buns: Swap out the slider buns with your favorite gluten free slider buns or bread if gluten free.

Breadcrumbs: You can also swap the panko breadcrumbs with gluten free breadcrumbs.

How to Pick Chicken

Color: When picking chicken at the grocery store pay attention to the color, it should be pink. If the flesh is grayish or transparent, it most likely has been sitting around for a while.

Texture: The texture should be firm and springy, indicating that it’s fresh.

Odor: Fresh chicken shouldn’t have an odor. If you notice unpleasant odors, it’s possible it’s not fresh anymore.

What to serve with Chicken Parm Sliders?

Instructions

PREPPING CHICKEN

  1. Place the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and dried Italian seasoning in a shallow dish and stir to combine.
  2. Whisk together the eggs and milk in a separate bowl and set aside.
  3. Place the crisper plate into the COSORI Air Fryer basket.
  4. Select the Preheat function and tap Start/Pause
  5. Dip a chicken tender into the egg mixture, then into the breadcrumb mixture to completely coat. Repeat with the remaining chicken tenders.
  6. Spray both sides of the chicken tenders with olive oil spray.

COOKING & ASSEMBLING THE CHICKEN PARM SLIDERS

  1. Place the chicken tenders onto the preheated crisper plate.
  2. Select the Air Fry function, adjust temperature to 400°F and time to 13 minutes, then tap Start/Pause
  3. Flip the chicken tenders over halfway through cooking.
  4. When 3 minutes remain, add 1 tablespoon of marinara sauce over the top of each chicken tender and top with a slice of mozzarella.
  5. Remove the chicken parmesan when crispy, golden brown, and the cheese is melted. Transfer chicken to a plate, sprinkle the tops with parsley, and cover with foil to keep warm.
  6. Stir together the melted butter and garlic in a small bowl. Brush the insides of the slider buns with the garlic butter mixture. If using dinner rolls, slice them in half lengthwise before brushing. Place half of the rolls onto the crisper plate, insides facing up.
  7. Select the Broil function, adjust time to 3 minutes, then tap Start/Pause
  8. Remove toasted buns, then repeat with the remaining buns.
  9. Assemble Sliders: place a chicken parmesan tender in between each bun, then secure with a toothpick if necessary. Serve while still warm.

These sliders are best served hot or warm! If you are pressed for time, you can also use store-bought frozen chicken tenders and just top them with marinara sauce and fresh mozzarella and broil for 3 minutes.
