Honey: Omit the honey if keeping these Keto or Paleo.

Cilantro: You can swap the cilantro with parsley.

How to Pick Shrimp

Avoid shrimp with freezer burn: Freezer burn affects the taste and texture. 

Texture: If your finger leaves an indentation, that shrimp isn't fresh. The flesh of a fresh one will spring back. 

Smell: Avoid shrimp that smell like ammonia. This is an easy way to tell that they're bad. 

Feel: Avoid shrimp with shells that feel soft or slimy. This is not a good sign. 

Farm-Raised: You can also look for the BAP logo on the bag (Best Aquaculture Practices) to indicate that the shrimp is farm-raised.

Instructions

PREPPING SHRIMP

  1. Place the crisper plate into the COSORI Air Fryer basket. 
  2. Select the Preheat function, adjust temperature to 450°F, then tap Start/Pause. 
  3. Combine the olive oil, lime zest and juice, honey, salt, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper in a large bowl. Add the shrimp and toss to combine. 
  4. Skewer the shrimp onto the wooden or metal skewers. 

COOKING THE SHRIMP

  1. Place the shrimp skewers onto the preheated crisper plate. 
  2. Select the Broil function and tap Start/Pause. 
  3. Remove the shrimp skewers when golden brown, transfer to a serving dish, and sprinkle with chopped cilantro, then serve. 

Chef Notes: These shrimp skewers are best served hot or warm. If using frozen shrimp, defrost them in the refrigerator overnight or in a bowl with cold water.
