How to Pick Pork Belly

When picking pork belly, prioritize a 50/50 ratio of lean meat to fat, looking for even, thick layering and a firm, pinkish-red texture.

Instructions

  1. Set mode to Sauté, adjust time to 10 and tap Start 
  2. Add pork belly into the inner pot of the Cosori Rice Cooker and sauté for 10 minutes. 
  3. Remove the pork belly and set it aside. Do not remove pork fat. 
  4. Set mode to Sauté, adjust time to 30 and tap Start 
  5. Add onion into the inner pot of the Cosori Rice Cooker and sauté for 5 minutes 
  6. Add garlic and ginger into the inner pot of the Cosori Rice Cooker and sauté for 1 minute 
  7. Add jalapeno/serrano and red thai chili into the inner pot of the Cosori Rice Cooker and sauté for 1 minute 
  8. Add shrimp paste into the inner pot of the Cosori Rice Cooker and sauté for 1 minute 
  9. Add jalapeno/serrano and red thai chili into the inner pot of the Cosori Rice Cooker and sauté for 1 minute 
  10. Add coconut milk/cream into the inner pot of the Cosori Rice Cooker and cook for the remainder of cooking time. 
  11. Remove when done, seasoned to taste and serve while it is hot.
