There's always room for more air fryer desserts, like these quick and easy recipes: Flourless Chocolate Cake in Air Fryer, Chocolate Lava Cakes, Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Creamy, nutty tahini and bittersweet dark chocolate, sprinkled with crispy quinoa for that perfect crunch. We’ve never seen a chocolate bar strike such a balance in flavor, texture, and richness.

How to Pick Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate chips with at least 70% cacao are best for those who are monitoring their glucose levels.

Ingredient Swaps

If you’re not a fan of tahini, natural no-stir almond or peanut butter can be used in its place.

Nutrition Information

Who says chocolate can’t be balanced and delicious? This recipe uses nutrient-rich ingredients like tahini, olive oil, quinoa, and dark chocolate. Quinoa is a plant-based grain that is also a complete protein, meaning it contains all the essential building blocks (amino acids) your body needs but can’t make on its own.

Instructions

CRISPY QUINOA:

  1. Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil onto the quinoa and toss to coat.
  2. Place the crisper plate into the air fryer basket.
  3. Line the crisper plate with parchment paper and spread the quinoa onto the crisper plate in a thin layer.
  4. Select the Bake function, adjust temperature to 400°F and time to 22 minutes, then tap Start/Pause.
  5. Stir quinoa halfway through cooking.
  6. Remove when done and let cool.

MELTING THE CHOCOLATE

  1. Simmer 1 cup of water in a medium sauce pot.
  2. Place bowl on top of the pot and add in the chocolate chips. Let sit for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Stir until chocolate chips have fully melted.

MAKING THE BARK:

  1. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate onto the parchment paper and smooth. You can gently tap the baking sheet onto the table to remove air bubbles while leveling it out.
  3. Spoon dollops of tahini paste onto the chocolate in random areas and use a butter knife to make swirls.
  4. Sprinkle the crispy quinoa and flaky salt on top.
  5. Press down lightly on the surface to help the quinoa and flaky salt adhere to the chocolate.
  6. Place the tray into the freezer for 15 minutes or until chocolate has completely hardened.
  7. Break the bark by hand or use the back end of a wooden spoon to smash it into pieces, then serve.

Tip from the Chef: Break and store in a freezer safe bag and freeze for long term. You can also keep it in the fridge for 3-5 days.
