Why coffee?
Coffee means something different to everyone. It's a jolt to start the day, a quiet ritual, a social celebration. But one thing kept coming up when we talked to coffee lovers: making a truly great cup consistently is harder than it should be.
"We believe making a truly great cup of coffee, consistently, doesn't need to be hard."
Before we designed anything, we learned, studying pour-over the way its most devoted brewers do. That belief led to Juni, our first coffee machine, and it won't be our last.
Juni's Story
-
When we decided on pour-over, we asked ourselves, "Can we automate a process defined by precision, exact temperatures, ratios, timing, and years of technique?" We pictured a machine that didn't brew behind an enclosed casing, but was visible, almost theatrical, the way a barista's hands are like part of the show. That image became the starting point for Juni.

-
Our first attempt at replicating a barista's circular pour moved water in a flat plane. It looked right, but it didn't work. The water just hugged the basket's walls instead of covering the grounds evenly. The fix came from combining two motions at once, the nozzle and the basket rotating together. That combination created the Swirl Motion.

-
Early on, we rigged a motor to a basic basket and brewed two cups side by side, one with vibration, one without. The difference in smoothness was clear from that first cup. That early test confirmed we were solving the right problem. That's when we knew agitation wasn't just a nice detail. It was a variable worth getting right.

-
Coffee taste is deeply personal, and different beans need different treatment. So we built Juni to learn from the taste feedback you give after every cup, fine-tuning temperature, flow, and agitation along the way. A simple mode brews a great cup in a few taps. Underneath it, every key setting is adjustable for those who want full control.

-
Most coffee machines hide the brewing process under the casing. We chose an open basket instead. Pour-over has always been a ritual people watch unfold. Hiding that felt like hiding the best part, so we built Juni to keep it visible, so everyone can see, smell, and enjoy the process as it happens.

-
At World of Coffee 2026, we watched roasters, competition baristas, and connoisseurs try Juni for the first time. Their reactions, from small knowing smiles to wide-eyed surprise, said it all. Since then, Juni has earned SCA certification, been featured in official competitions, and drawn partnership interest from roasters and other coffee industry brands. We were ready to share Juni with the world.
