What makes the TurboBlaze™ different from other air fryers?

The TurboBlaze™ 6.0-Quart Air Fryer is our first air fryer to use DC motor technology. The DC motor opens up more cooking possibilities by giving you 5 different fan speeds. For example, you can also use the TurboBlaze to Dehydrate, Bake, and Proof, and more. Even better, the TurboBlaze cooks up to 46% faster compared to our Pro Gen 2 air fryer.

Why does the TurboBlaze have a higher fan speed?

The higher fan speed helps the TurboBlaze cook with more precise temperatures to give you that crispy, fried taste and texture. Our crisper plate is designed to allow more airflow, giving your food more even cook.

Can I use the TurboBlaze to cook tri-tip?

Of course! Here’s how we like to cook our tri-tip in the TurboBlaze. We recommend marinating a 2–3 lb tri-tip for 30–60 minutes in the fridge to let those flavors soak in first. Make sure you take the meat out of the fridge about 20 minutes before you start cooking, so it's not ice cold when you place it in the air fryer. Then place the crisper plate inside your TurboBlaze basket, select Preheat, and adjust the temperature to 450°F. Once preheating is finished, set the temperature to 450°F and the cook time to 20–22 minutes. Flipping the tri-trip halfway through cooking will help it cook evenly. Use a food thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 130-135°F at the thickest part for a medium rare steak. Allow the tri-tip to rest for 10 minutes to lock in the flavors and juices, then serve.

Do I need to flip the food halfway through cooking?

It depends on how much food you’re cooking. If you’re prepping a small amount of food (less than 1 lb), you don’t need to flip or shake it if it looks evenly cooked. For larger amounts of food (1.5 lb or more), we recommend flipping or shaking your food halfway through cooking for the best results.
