Stuffed Chicken Breast with Sage Butter

½ cup unsalted butter, softened 

+

1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped 

+

½ teaspoon garlic powder 

+

¼ teaspoon onion powder 

+

1½ teaspoons ground black pepper, divided 

+

1½ teaspoons kosher salt, divided  

+

2 cups prepared stuffing  

+

2 skinless chicken breasts, butterflied  

+

Gravy, for serving 

+

Cranberry sauce, for serving

Directions

STEP 1

Mix the butter, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, and ½ teaspoon kosher salt into a small bowl until well combined. 

STEP 2

Place one cup of stuffing into the middle of the chicken breast and fold both sides together. 

STEP 3

Season the chicken breast with the remaining salt and pepper. 

STEP 4

Tie the chicken breast closed, making knots 2 inches apart. 

STEP 5

Brush the sage butter mixture all over the chicken with a brush. 

STEP 6

Select the Preheat function on the Cosori Air Fryer, adjust temperature to 380°, then press Start/Pause.  

STEP 7

Place the stuffed chicken breast into the preheated air fryer.  

STEP 8

Set temperature to 380°F and time to 23 minutes, then press Start/Pause.  

STEP 9

Remove the stuffed chicken breast when done or until internal temperature reaches 165°F and let rest for 10 minutes. 

STEP 10

Serve with gravy and cranberry sauce. 

STEP 11

Select the Preheat function on the COSORI Air Fryer, adjust temperature to 375°F, then press Start/Pause. 

STEP 12

Place the empanadas into the air fryer basket. 

STEP 13

Set temperature to 375°F and time to 8 minutes, then press Start/Pause. 

STEP 14

Remove the empanadas when done and brush again lightly with the egg wash for shine while they are still very hot, then serve with the chimichurri on the side.
