equipment used

Directions

STEP 1

Place the cast iron pan or cake pan into the Cosori Air Fryer basket.

STEP 2

Select the Preheat function on the air fryer, adjust temperature to 375°F, then press Start/Pause.

STEP 3

Whisk the eggs, flour, milk, sugar, and nutmeg in a large bowl until well combined and smooth. There should be no lumps.

STEP 4

Remove the air fryer basket after preheating, keeping the cast iron pan inside the basket. Immediately add in the butter and use a spatula to spread the butter around evenly until it has melted.

STEP 5

Pour the batter into the cast iron pan and reinsert the basket back into the air fryer.

STEP 6

Set temperature to 375°F and time to 20 minutes, then press Start/Pause. The pancake will puff up and grow in height, no shake is necessary but if you would like a lighter colored topping, pause the air fryer when 5 minutes is left on the timer and tent the top of the pancake with foil.

STEP 7

Remove the cast iron pan, carefully with an oven mitt, when done. Turn out the Dutch baby onto a serving platter and serve at once sprinkled with lemon juice, dusted with confectioner’s sugar, and fresh berries if desired.
