Step 1
Set Mode to Sauté on the COSORI Rice Cooker, adjust time to 8 minutes, then tap Start. -
Step 2
Combine the half and half and milk in the inner pot once preheated. -
Step 3
Bring to a simmer then add in the chocolate chunks. Do not stir and let sit for the remaining time. -
Step 4
Whisk vigorously with a silicone whisk when the timer goes off or use an immersion blender to create a smoother texture. -
Step 5
Ladle ¼ cup of the milk mixture into a small bowl, then stir in the cocoa powder and espresso powder until well combined. -
Step 6
Add the mixture back into the remaining milk along with the peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and sugar. Stir well. -
Step 7
Serve with whipped cream and garnish with crushed peppermint candy.

- 2 cups whole milk, taken out 15 minutes beforehand
- 1¼ cups dark chocolate chunks (72% cacao)
- ½ tablespoon cocoa powder
- ¾ tablespoon espresso powder
- ¾ teaspoon peppermint extract
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- Whipped cream, for serving
- ¼ cup peppermint candy, crushed, for garnish
