Directions

  1. Step 1

    Add the sugar and water into the small sauce pot but do not stir. 

  2. Step 2

    Place the sauce pot on the stove and cook on medium-high heat, but make sure not to stir the mixture. Do not walk away from the stove.

    Remove the sauce pot from the heat once the mixture turns a dark amber color and slowly pour in the heavy cream. The mixture will bubble viciously, so be very careful not to pour too close into the pot.

    Whisk in the butter until fully combined.

    Whisk in the butter until fully combined.

    Prepare the brownie mix according to the instructions on the package.

    Spray the square pan with oil spray.

    Cut parchment paper into 2, 6 x 10-inch strips and lay them on top of each other in a crisscross in the pan, then lightly spray the parchment paper with oil spray.

    Pour the brownie batter into the pan and spread out evenly then sprinkle ½ tablespoon of the smoky flaky salt on top.

    Remove the crisper plate from the COSORI Smart Air Fryer basket.

    Place the pan directly into the air fryer basket. 

  12. Step 12

    Select the Bake function, adjust temperature to 290°F and time to 45 minutes, then press Start/Pause

  13. Step 13

    Remove the brownies when done and set aside to cool completely. 

  14. Step 14

    Cutthe brownies into 9 pieces and drizzle the salted caramel on top. Garnish with the remaining smoked flaky salt, then serve.
