1 ribeye (or NY) steak, 1-inch thick, room temperature

1 tablespoon kosher salt

1 tablespoon dark brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons paprika
+
2 teaspoons ancho chile pepper
+
1 teaspoon black pepper
+
½ teaspoon garlic powder
+
½ teaspoon onion powder
+
½ teaspoon mustard powder
+
½ teaspoon ground cumin
+
1 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions
STEP 1
Combine salt, brown sugar, paprika, ancho chile pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, cumin, and dried oregano.
STEP 2
Dry steak thoroughly with paper towels.
STEP 3
Rub the spice mixture generously over the steak and allow to sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
STEP 4
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
STEP 5
Place the steak in the preheated air fryer.
STEP 6
Cook at 400°F for 6 minutes.
STEP 7
Allow the steak to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
