This is your custom brewing setting with a default temperature of 140°F / 60°C. You can customize the default temperature in the VeSync app.

• Customize the temperature for MyBrew.
• Use the Baby Formula Mode that lets your water cool to an ideal formula temperature after it boils.
• Monitor your water’s boiling progress.
• Schedule when you want the kettle to start boiling.

You can easily turn the kettle sounds on/off in the VeSync app.

Fun fact! Water boils at lower temperatures when you’re at higher altitudes. Depending on your altitude, we recommend these presets.

• Use COFFEE for altitudes of 3,881–9,255 ft / 1,183–2,820 m
  
• Preset OOLONG for altitudes of 9,256 ft / 2,821 m and above

All you have to do is press HOLD TEMP while the kettle is heating up, and it will stay at the target temperature for 60 minutes. You can adjust the HOLD TEMP time in the VeSync app.

Safety is our top priority, so our kettles come equipped with boil-dry protection. That means that if there’s less than ½ cup / 118 mL of water in the kettle, the kettle will automatically turn off. Remember to let the kettle cool before adding in more water.

To keep everything spick and span, we recommend descaling the kettle at least once a week if you use it frequently. This removes any mineral deposits that have built up inside the kettle. It’s also smart to descale the kettle before and after storing for long periods of time. Here’s how you can descale your kettle:

1. Unplug the kettle and pour out all the water. Make sure the kettle is cool.
2. Squeeze half a lemon into the kettle or add ½ cup / 118 mL of distilled vinegar into the kettle.
3. If the kettle has thick scale buildup, scrub the kettle’s inner walls with a non-scratch scrub sponge.
Note: Do not use steel wool.
4. Add 2 cups / 473 mL of water. Boil the mixture.
5. Pour out the mixture, then wipe off any remaining scale with a non-abrasive cloth, sponge, or cleaning brush.
6. Repeat as needed.
