No. You can brew directly from Juni using the built-in controls and display. Connecting to the VeSync app gives you access to additional features, including personalized recipe recommendations, complete control over brew settings, remote start, and smart scheduling.

Juni includes 2 brew baskets for different serving sizes. The cone brew basket supports up to 600 mL and is ideal for smaller batch brewing of 1–3 cups. The flat bottom brew basket supports up to 1.5 L and is well suited for large batch brewing of 3–6 cups. Juni’s default cup size is 250 mL. You can use the VeSync app to adjust the default cup size to your preference.

Brewing typically takes approximately 3–10 minutes, depending on the serving size and selected brew settings.

No, Juni does not include a built-in grinder. For best results, we recommend using a dedicated burr grinder and starting with a medium to medium-coarse grind for pour-over coffee. You can also have your beans ground for pour-over at your local coffee shop.

Juni includes both a cone brew basket and a flat bottom brew basket, so you can explore different brewing styles and recipes. Each brew basket comes with 20 compatible paper filters, for a total of 40 filters in the box. Additional replacement filters will be available for purchase directly from the Cosori website.

Yes, you can use your own carafe as long as it fits within the brewing area. For the best fit, choose a carafe with a height of up to 8 inches (203 millimeters), measured from the base to the top of the lid, and a diameter of up to 4.9 inches (125 millimeters). We recommend using a carafe that is heat-resistant up to 100°C (212°F) and has a capacity of at least 300 mL. Always make sure the carafe is stable and properly positioned before brewing.

Juni uses carefully selected food-contact materials designed for durability, heat performance, and everyday use. The cone and flat bottom brew baskets are made from Tritan™ copolyester (PCTG), and the water tank is made from SAN polymer. Materials that come into contact with water or brewed coffee are tested for their intended use and comply with applicable food-contact safety requirements.

Juni will remind you when it’s time to descale. After 90 days of use or more than 60 brew cycles, the display will show “C” when the machine 
is turned on, and the Pre-Rinse Filter button will flash. Press and hold the Pre-Rinse Filter button to start the descaling cycle. When descaling 
is complete, Juni will beep three times and automatically return to standby mode. We recommend rinsing the water tank to remove any remaining descaling solution, then running one full brew cycle with only water (no coffee grounds) before using Juni again.

Yes, with the VeSync app. Before using scheduled or remote brewing, make sure the water, coffee grounds, paper filter, brew basket, 
and carafe are all properly prepared. If you are using the provided carafe, Juni will detect when the carafe is correctly positioned, allowing 
a scheduled brew or remote start to begin automatically. If you are using your own cup, carafe, or another non-Juni container, the machine cannot reliably detect whether it's in place. For safety, you will need to confirm on the machine before brewing can begin because 
unattended scheduled or remote-start brewing is not supported with third-party containers.
